Intellisurge protects data lines (telephones), computers, aerial systems, and in fact all your valuable electronic systems, from damage caused by lightning induced power surges.
UPS systems, used in conjunction with Intellisurge, offer maximum protection as well as the ability to use your electronic equipment during the most severe thunder storms or power surges.
The INTELLISURGE System consists of :
* A control unit
* Automatic / Manual reset
* Backup battery
* Slave units for data lines connected to the national grid
During a power surge, Intellisurge automatically detects the intensity of the surge and should it exceed the pre-set limit, Intellisurge will immediately disconnect all equipment on that circuit.
Any telephone lines, computer lines, aerial systems or data lines protected by the modules will also be disconnected.
An audible signal will notify users that the power has been disrupted. Any UPS (uninterrupted power supply) connected to the system can be reset by typing a code on the keypad. All systems will then be reconnected.
A fully automated shut down and start up can also be installed.
The Intellisurge control unit has a built in battery to provide power when switching back on and performing the safety check.
The system has also been designed to protect itself in the event of a power surge.

The INTELLISURGE System has been intensively tested at the SABS high voltage laboratory in Olifantsfontein.
